Well, Hellllllllllloooooo There!

9 02 2012

Ok.

Ok.

Ok.

Yep.

I’ve been gone for… quite a while now…

Eeke.

I’m sorry.

I’m truly sorry.

I think about my readers so much, and…

Well…

I don’t have any good excuse as to why I haven’t written for a while.

Yes, there’s been a lot going on.

But, no, that shouldn’t ever keep me from you.

I love each and every one of you more than you know.  Just knowing that you’re reading.

So……………………

What in the heck, *&%(, @^%^, !@$%$ have I been doing with all of my time for the last month and a half (seriously, it’s been that long??!)??

Here’s the quick summary…

Got engaged to my Prince.

Yes, yes we did!

Jake proposed in front of my Mom and Dad on Christmas morning (after asking Dad’s permission on Thanksgiving!!)!

Wooooooooooooooweeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!

I simply love this man.

Then, well.

Something a bit more on the down-low.

Looking to move to Austin, Texas.

!!!!!

Yesssss!

And finding my dream job in our new city (prior to our arrival):

6 interviews later……………..

Yes, I was hired.  Now for the 8 week boot camp.

And I canNOT wait!!!

[You know me, I love the challenge.  And I love what The GoodLife Team stands for.]

Whew.  Talk about everything I’ve ever wanted to do and ever wanted to be…

http://www.GoodLifeTeam.com…;  Check them out.

So… If you know me, you know I tend to haunt my laptop, (now) iPad, Android, Facebook, Pinterest and every other computer-associated whatcha-ma-call-it that I can get my hands on.

[There is a point in here... Somewhere.]

And with those things, I’m determined to make a difference somehow, some way in Life.

As opportunities open, as blessings are given, as my Life unfolds… I know my journey isn’t just for myself and my family; it’s about helping others, inspiring others, lending a helping hand, being more than myself.

In the last 5 years of my life, I’ve walked a road that I know is too common and sometimes too painful for people to walk on their own.  In different ways, I was helped… by the unexpected, in most cases.  As my journey continues, it will be crucial, in my purpose, to not only share recipes and Lora-isms, but to also share life… Things that I think many can relate to.

There’s a need out there.  A need for companionship, understanding, empathy, inspiration, real-world “let’s do this!,” love among friends (face-to-face or not), “I got you,” perseverance, and passion when things are tough.

On my Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/XSELLR8), I make my mark with inspirational quotes from my heart.  It may be what I’m going through, or something I see someone else dealing with.  Either way, I want to touch someone with those statements; make someone know that they aren’t alone.

Through the social media, I’ve started to see several of my quotes on Pinterest… I remember the first moment I saw one of my quotes (actually from this blog, in my “About Me” section), I simply melted.  I knew the words; I knew them because I’d felt them when I wrote them.  To know that someone identified with them, understood my words, and felt strong enough to share… Wow.  It was amazing.

In that vein…

I’m starting something that may be a little goofy… I’m going to share my “Daily Must Haves” with you.  They will be on my Facebook page every day (I would love to be your friend at: https://www.facebook.com/XSELLR8), and I will make a conscious effort to put them on my blog daily as well.

My Daily Must Haves (DMH) are the things, sayings, songs, quotes, thoughts that I simply can’t live without at the moment.  They represent all things in my life, whether it be fitness, my love, my fiancee, my family, my business, my trials… You get the idea…

It’s my prism of the world… On that day.  And it’s something positive.  Every single day.

Here’s my first (and be sure to watch the video link below it; if you’re driven, love life, love fitness and never take “no” for an answer, you’ll love it; trust me):

Everyone’s on a journey. Each day we do things that either feed or famine that path. I’m starting something small, maybe a little off-beat, but I’m going to share my Daily Must Haves in life (DMH). I’m hoping these goofy-isms will spark a fire on Your path. Or, that you’ll at least chuckle. :) Here we go…
DMH1 – I can’t live without hearing Flo Rida’s “Good Feeling” at least once a day. For my business mind, my fitness mind, my healthy mind, my never-give-up mind… It all applies. Check out some of the lyrics:
“Got adrenaline, never giving in
Giving up’s not an option, gotta get it in
Witness I got the heart of 20 men
No fear, go to sleep in the lion’s den… …
Stronger than ever can’t hold me down…”

Two words…

Love Life.

I do.  And I want to share that with You.
